parked wrong way, citation date 1 week in futureWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA car loaned to a friend from germany. she parked the wrong way (wrong side of road - facing "flow of traffic"), but citation date is 1 week in the FUTURE. Is she responsible as the person who used and parked the car, or am I as owner of the vehicle? Should I just - have her write a letter saying she parked it and ask if she should include a check from a german bank ? - ask for the TT account details so she can make the payment by TT? - wait a week and send a letter with a copy of a valet parking receipt? - ask that the citation be dismissed as it has not happened yet and there is no "future crimes" police division yet? - pay it and have done with it? Thanks ! :-) |

| YOU are liable for the ticket. You can collect from your German friend.

| I Dogpiled "international money order" -- looks like they're available at the post office and Western Union, among other places. Try your bank, too. |
