Parking Fines For a Vehicle That Isn't MineI am a student at a private college in Danville Ky. I have a student financial account that has racked up $150 in parking fines on a car that isn't mine. The car is registered in my mothers name and in all technicality, belongs to my mother. I never saw the parking tickets on the car, someone must have moved them, but is the school legally allowed to impose fines of this nature automatically to my account if the car doesn't belong to me and isn't even registered to me at the college? |

| Don't you find it a rather odd coincidence that the car you have been using (yours or not) has racked up parking fines? You will likely not be able to get out of this and should probably contact the campus parking authority (or possibly bursar's office) to work out some sort of payment plan.

Man up and pay 'em. And stop parking there. |

| Besides, the parking department at a private school is free to make up their own rules. You won't escape with "it's in my mother's name" defense. |
