Parking Ticket from Another State???

I live in Maryland and recently got a parking ticket in New York City. I have Maryland plates on my vehicle. I am actually moving to NY in a few months and will then have to change my plates to NY State plates. Do I have to pay this parking ticket? I understand that if I stay in MD and don't drive in NY I will probably be okay, but once I move and turn in my MD plates for NY plates will they run a search on these MD plates and see that I owe a fine???

Nahhhh. NY parking ticket fines are like "suggested admission prices" when you go to a museum. Pay whatever you think it is worth.

Another poster said his car was impounded for unpaid NYC parking tickets. And the Parking Tickets forums is filled with more NYC parking tickets than all others combined. It appears NYC is serious about parking tickets and do take action against those that don't pay. It's all up to you.
