parking ticket/credit score?

What is the name of your state? CA

Ok guys, a while back I posted an issue about a parking ticket. Long story short... I am not from CA, I am here visiting. I have since sold the car i got the parking ticket on, and do not want to pay it as it was a blatant attempt for this corrupt system to try and make money. I even filed papers to take this to court, and then when I called back to find out the date of the hearing they said they had no record of my request, and it was too late.

If i sold the car the ticket was on, and am not from CA, what do i have to worry about? Is it true that they can mess with my credit score?

Its not even about the money, its about the fact that I dont think what they did was right AT ALL. They towed over 100 cars that day from that neighborhood... apparently nobody saw the signs they claim were posted.

any advice is appreciated.

Pay the ticket or it will come back to bite you in the rump

Go to www.annualcreditreport.com and get a copy of your credit report if you are worried about your credit.

So you think breaking the law is an acceptable form of behavior?

The ticket is assigned to the registered owner of record on the day the ticket was issued, if that was you, it will stay with you. The ticket does not transfer with the ownership of the vehicle.

Want a little cheese to go with your whine? Be a man and accept responsibility for your actions or be a wussy and and throw a fit, the choice is yours.
