Parking ticket inside a private parking lot? What is the name of your state? Texas I have been parking my motorcycle at the Austin airport private parking lot for months. I was not using a regular car slot but a dead car parking space which can fit several motorcycles in order to get closer to the terminal and also to allow the parking owners to use the slot for another customer. I found a parking ticket last week for parking at a "no parking" zone and for "fire zone" in spite of the fact that every single dead spot in this huge parking lot is marked as "fire zone". Is it legal for a city officer to enter this private parking lot and issue a ticket without a court order? |

| While the airport parking lots are frequently contracted out to private companies they are public property (and believe you me, the airport gets a major source of revenue from their operation). A fire zone is a fire zone, despite your supposedly altruistic reasons for making other spaces available, it is frequently local fire and security codes that demands these areas be blocked off. Pay the ticket. |
