Parking ticket, no fine or violation info

What is the name of your state? Washington

On sunday morning I got a parking ticket. In the comment section it says "Impound". The time of ticket was 3:55 AM and I got to my car about 11:30 AM. There is no fine on the ticket, and no violation indicated. I tried calling the number on the back to figure this out, but it kept saying it wasn't on the records.

Finally today, I found out it was for parking too close to the stop sign and that the ticket was for $38. Now I'll probably just pay it, but is there any possibility of fighting it because of lack of info on the actual ticket? I'm not too clear on that subject, especially since this is only the second ticket I've received. Thanks for any insight.

It sucks that you went through that hassle, but I fail to see why that should mean you get to get out of paying for the crime you committed.

No, this happens all the time. For $38, just pay it.

That's what I figured. I guess I was also curious if it was common for tickets to have no violation indication and no fine anywhere on the ticket. Are they purposely making it difficult hoping you won't pay and then have late charges? It doesn't make sense. I was also stumped by the Impound comment.
