Parking Ticket on Private PropertyWhat is the name of your state? MI I own a small business in Michigan, I have a company truck (which is up for sale and I am no longer driving it) that is parked on the premisis of the business. Can the police come onto the private property and ticket me for an expired license plate? ![]() |

| There are quite a few threads dealing with this question, but since I'm in a good mood, I'll answer anyways: yes, unless the vehicle is locked up in a garage or in an otherwise enclosed area, the police can cite you for expired plates.
