Parking Violation in Canada

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alberta, Canada

I am brand new to this site, so please feel free to blast me if this is inappropriate or in the wrong section completely.

I am from Scottsdale but was traveling in Alberta, Canada and recieved a parking ticket. Long story short, I want to fight it on either technical grounds or some other way but I don't know enough about Canadian laws or mistakes that are made with this sort of ticket.

Can anyone either shed some light on this infraction or point me in the direction of someone who could?

I am willing to repay the favor because I don't need to pay 50 bucks for this ticket.

Thanks in advance, greatly appreciated.

Do you have suggestion (as an expert in the field) of what I should be searching for on google? I tried to do that briefly but I get bogged down with law firms pitching their services.

Thanks again

Here's a place you can search/ask:
http://en.allexperts.com/q/Canadian-Law-934/

There's also (at least) one book available at the Edmonton public library:

Alberta's a big place and you didn't say where you are.
