Philadelphia: expired inspection ticket, just purchased vehicleWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania My husband purchased a used vehicle in Allentown and then proceeded on to Philadelphia to run some errands for work (we live in Central Pa). In two hours he received two tickets for the expired inspection sticker, one was a parking ticket left on the windshield and the other was a traffic ticket given by an officer. My husband told the officer that he thought he had 10 days to have it inspected and the officer said that he should have done it right away and then gave him the ticket. My question is, is there any way for him to dispute the ticket, plead not guilty, but not have to go all the way back to Philly for traffic court? It seems he'll lose more money missing a day of work to go down there than he will gain fighting the ticket. Thanks |

| If it was uninspected then it was uninspected. What is your basis for fighting it? |

| From what I read, a person has 10 days to have their vehicle inspected after purchase. |

| I'd bring your bill of sale to court... 175.8 (a) A vehicle which does not display a valid certificate of inspection at the time of the sale, resale or entry into this Commonwealth shall be inspected within 10 days of sale, resale, or entry into this Commonwealth, whichever comes later. (b) A vehicle which displays a valid certificate at the time of sale or resale may be driven until the inspection certificate expires.

| PA doesn't issue temp stickers for the ten day period? Folks in that state must get alot of parking tickets then. |
