Private Parking Ticket Company WA State

What is the name of your state? Washington

I was wondering if anyone could give me more information on private ticketing companies?

I know that WA does allow private companies to ticket for varoius reasons.
I was just wondering what limitations there are and what the RCW's relating to that are.

A private company issued a ticket for my husband when parked in a fast food chain's lot. He purchased food from them and then ran down the street to get some food for a friend who didn't want the same thing. He came back only a few minutes later to a $65.00 dollar fine. It just seems like a lot. I have found info that booting is now illegal, but I have found little about ticketing details. I just wanted to find out what the regulations are on this.

The company has not given us any names and just seems very shady in general. They also put a note on the ticket of a stamp or chalk mark. My husband saw neither.

Is there much if anything we can do about this?

Thank you for your help.

The ticket and/or sign restricting parking to customers only should have the appropriate RCW.

Is the RCW required to be there by law?
