| | | Seat Belt laws What is the name of your state? TX
I was recently pulled over and given a ticket for improperly wearing my seat belt. The lap/shoulder belt was fastened, it was just that I wear the shoulder harness under my arm instead of over my shoulder. In Texas there is a Click it or Ticket law which states that you must be wearing a seat belt which I was. Is this 'improper wearing' part of that law? Should I have not been given a warning instead of a ticket as I was wearing the seatbelt. I did not realize that the shoulder harness had to be worn in a certain way. I did not pay the ticket and am taking this to court. What is my chance of getting this dismissed?

| As part of the annual "click it or ticket" campaign, officers have been explicitly told not to give warnings. |
