Should I pay this parking ticket?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

The other day I got a parking ticket for expired meter (and there was not any meters in sight). Later someone has told me that you are supposed to go to some box and pay for parking there. I didn't know that since I didn't use parking lot but just parked at the curb on the main street.

On the ticket there is officers name, address of the place where it happened but then the license plate
and color of the car are incorrect. What should I do? If I don't pay the ticket, will they be able to track me down with incorrect license plate?

Cool

Is it close to your license plate, or entirely different? Some weasely types take their parking tickets and put them on other people's cars.

It is close to my license plate. It says TRG1234 and mine is TGR1234. But the color is completely different. Mine is silver and the ticket says white

If the right light, silver and white can look alike. That is not enough to disqualify the ticket. As for the license plate - well, you're rolling the dice there.

**A: don't pay it and let them track you down. When they get you, post back with questions on what you should do.

Oh, there are PLENTY of posts on this site dealing with people that ignore a parking ticket. You can look up the rest of them, but I'll throw one out at you: they can intercept any potential state tax returns you may be entitled to.

How about tossing the one about 50 lashes out there
