What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY
I received a parking ticket this morning for displaying the muni meter receipt upside down. The violation says failure to display, but the comment says recep upside down. Is this really a violation or a money making scheme. The Place of Occurrence is incorrect too. Do I have grounds to dispute this ticket?

If the receipt was upside down, how are they to know if you are parked legally if they cannot read the receipt?

What do you mean by "upside-down"? Was the text on the receipt facing the dash, or was the receipt oriented so that when reading it from outside the car, the text is upside down?

(The former = valid ticket, whereas the latter is BS.)
