What is the name of your state?North Carolina

Although this question really applies to the 50 states. Why is it that there is no SOL on tickets?

Your credit report which is way important doesn't even allow things to linger for more than 7 to 10 years.

I received a expired registration ticket in NC in Feb 95, paid it in Jun 97 and now need to get a CA DL for a job i'm at and can't because NC has me as not eligible because they have no record of me paying this ticket (a ticket that I paid directly at the courthouse at the same time my husband paid his, just at different registers). It was a $100 ticket and now the fees are up to $235. I'm an active duty military spouse and I've moved 8 times since then. I don't have copies of that stuff anymore. The IRS doesn't even require you to keep records past 7 years.

I mean lets face it....you could rack up several thousands dollars on your credit and never pay and in 7 years, it comes off.

I've paid, not my problem if they lost the record or input wrong, why should I have to pay again for their incompetance.
