stolen registration sticker

What is the name of your state?
Florida

6 or 7 months ago, a ex-friend of mine took my registration sticker from my license plate and affixed it to his. I just received my renewal sticker, but his tags had been expired for about 1 1/2 yrs, so he thought this switching would buy him some more time. At the time, I did not think anything of it, I actually forgot.
Last October, he was pulled over and arrested for multiple charges (at least this is what online docs say) One of those charges being "unlawful license tag/stocker attach statute: TXXD320261. Will I get in trouble or be pulled into this in anyway?
