Stupid Traffic Laws

I live in New York State and in this state it is required that your veichle has two license plates. I have a camaro and i refused to drill holes in the front to place a holder and plate. This is my second ticket for this offenseive and i am wondering what will happen if i contiune to get tickets. I am also wondering if there is any specific traffic listing that says it has to be mounted to the front of the car, or if i can mount it underneath the front car facing out. Thank you

Where and how it should be mounted should be in or near the same section that you have been cited for previously.

If NY is like my state, eventually you will suffer enhanced penalties for continued violations. There ARE mounts out there that can go over the front bumper so that you may place your plate on the mounting unit and not in the front bumper itself.

I worked with a bozo with the same attitude. After 7 tickets and having his car impounded 3 times, he finally mounted his front plate. It seems the judge used the word foreiture and he decided that it wasn't something worth losing his car over. Or you can move to Kansas, they only require one plate.

I have lots of friends who have mustangs, camaros, sporty compact cars, ect. they refuse to put a yellow Jersey plate on so the put it on their dashboards pressing against the inside windshield on passenger side.

It isn't legal but not one of them have gotten tickets for it even when pulled over for speeding and what not.

But my stepfather who had his in the same spot on his 1988 Oldsmobile 89 because his mounts fell out was pulled over for it and recieved a ticket so go figure.
