Suspended License

What is the name of your state?Im from Virginia and I had my license suspended for a lapse of inssurance back in january and I just got it re-enstated; However now I cant get a job as a firefighter/emt or a medic because I have the suspension on my record. I was wondering if there was anyway I could get that removed from record since it does not, to the best of my reasoning, have any bareing on my ability to operate a motor vehichal.
