Ticket in another state

What is the name of your state? CO

I received a traffic ticket 8-10 yrs. ago and I don't think I fully paid it off; if I go back to this state (in TX) and happen to get stopped will this ticket now be a bench warrant? and would I be arrested?

One never knows

Honestly, just buy yourself some good night sleep and pay the ticket off in full (with all of the extra fines that accumulated)

When in doubt, GO TO THE SOURCE. Call the DMV in Texas (it's most likely in Austin) and ask them how long they keep their violation records. In my town, it's only five years.

Or he could just call the state and see if there is a warrant out for his arrest. It doesn't matter how long they generallykeep the violations on record. Besides, the answer he would be given would most likely have only applied to violations that have been disposed of, which his hasn't.

Plus, paying off the original fine is most likely not going to help. Chances are that additional fees have been added on. He would need to call the agency that requested the warrant and find out what to do to have the matter properly disposed of.
