Ticket for Burnt License Light

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?IL

My wife was pulled over because her license plate lights were out! I didn't know that was even an offense. Anyhow now we have a 75.00 ticket. The cop didn't even give a warning! I mean couldnt he have said go get them changed now

Anyhow is there any way to get out of the ticket or have it reduced? Thanks for any help

All you have to do is read the ticket to see the citation.

Illinois Vehicle Code:
625 ILCS 5/12:
Sec. 12‑201. When lighted lamps are required.
(c) Either a tail lamp or a separate lamp shall be so constructed and placed as to illuminate with a white light a rear registration plate when required and render it clearly legible from a distance of 50 feet to the rear. Any tail lamp or tail lamps, together with any separate lamp or lamps for illuminating a rear registration plate, shall be so wired as to be lighted whenever the head lamps or auxiliary driving lamps are lighted.

It is entirely within the officers discretion whether to issue a warning or a citation. And though it would have been common for him to do so, 'something' likely happened that he felt a citation was appropriate.

No one can answer that for you. It is entirely up to the prosecutor and the court.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
