ticket for no break light

What is the name of your state? Ohio
I have a question, back in 1998, I was stopped because one of my break lights was out, but I had three break lights. I had one on the drivers side, one on the passenger side and one in the middle of the back window. can they still give me a ticket for that even though two was working properly?
also, I would like to know how long is the statue of limitations on traffic tickets and warrants for ohio.

Yes the ticket is valid and there is no SOL for traffic tickets and warrants.

I would fight it. You are not required to have lights for your "breaks." I took a break the other day at work. I didn't use a light. I didn't get in trouble.

Now if my BRAKE lights were out on my car, yes I could get a ticket for that.

It's so sad...this kid is old enough to drive but he doesn't know the difference between "break" and "brake." (It wasn't a simple editing mistake...he used "break" several times.)

You don't know that...each state has different laws on the subject...there is no national, uniform law when it comes to traffic tickets. Undoubtedly some states have SOLs with regard to traffic tickets. (Warrants are a different story, however.) I really doubt states can enforce 50 year old traffic tickets.

In my state, only one offense has no SOL and that is murder.
