What is the name of your state? CA

I got a parking ticket in the mail the other day. It was from the City of Davis which is 100 miles away from where I live. It has my car's VIN# and description (Blue Honda), but another licence plate number. It's only $30 but I've never even BEEN to Davis. What do I do?

-Take a photo of your vehicle with the correct license plate number. Photo copy your registration info. Send both of them in with a letter stating that the vehicle in question is not yours.

More than likely, a number was transposed and your name came up. That actually happend to me and the vehicle in question had no engine and no tires at the time..
