towed @ bus stop ,BULL !

What is the name of your state? new york

trying to spend a nice evening out I MANHATTAN and then you get Screwed
was parked on 8th ave bet 39st & 40st on 12/28 when i arrived a traffic agent was presnt and being a little unfamilar with new parking procedures in the city asked how does this work with these new meters for the whole block and he told me that after 7pm it was free i told him it was 7:50 pm and he said i would be fine ,YEH RIGHT", came out of bb kings at 11pm and guess what ? NO CAR getting to the moral of this scam. go to the pound get the car $185.00 & $115 for the ticket, well i want to know why i was towed and the ticket said they towed me at 8 :14 .so in a matter of 20 minutes i was towed.Ticket stated i was in a bus stop Now i know i was not in the bus stop. So i go back so i can take pictures of the signs because i know there was no bus sign there. NOW THE FUN BEGINS I LOOK AT THE TICKET AND THE ADRESS HE HAS DOWN FOR IS 4 STORES FROM WHERE I WAS PARKED AND 3 STORES FROM THE CORNER WHERE THE BUS STOP IS
I WAS PARKED UNDER THE PARKING SIGNS AND IN FRONT OF THE METER. WHY WOULD I PARK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BUS STOP IF THERE WERE NO CARS PARKED IN BETWEEN WHERE I WAS PARKED IN AND WHERE THEY CLAIM I WAS PARKED ,WERE ALL THE OTHER CARS THAT WOULD BE PARKED BETWEEN US TOWED OR TICKETED. WELL I GUESS I HAVE ALOT OF INVESTIGATING TO DO BECAUSE NOW I REALLY DO BELEIVE IN ALL THOSE SCAMS YOU READ ABOUT ," TELL ME THAT THAT TICKET WASNT TRYING TO MEET HIS END OFF THE MONTH QUOTA.
I WILL TRY AND FIGHT THIS . ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU GO POSTAL!! ANY OTHER SIMILAR STORIES?

Looks like you may have been hit by towing pirates. Someone wrote a song about the towing pirates in Chicago (Lincoln Park Pirates?).

I visited NY city with a high school trip in the late 60's and have no desire to go there again. The hotel (Park Sheridan at that time) would not let us get our luggage when we got off the airport bus, but instead gathered us into a large room where they made us wait for a talk about why they had steel doors on the hotel rooms (to protect us from crime) while they rifled though out luggage taking anything of value. And a police officer who was probably supposed to be watching for shoplifters was just standing at the end of the isle like a guard, while people behind him were stuffing their coats. And that was just the tip of the iceburg.

Stories? This is a legal advice site. I guess you didn't read that part of it when you were pissing and moaning.

thats what you are ,listen everything on this site is a story without them there is no legal advise and by the looks of all the other threads you answer , you certainly love to give it but not before the added BS of trying to talk down to everyone you answer. you should incour half the heart ache you think is petty BS. you sound like the model for the low life some attorneys turn out to be ,if you are one,
"give those the respect you would want yourself to receive put into thier situation"

The idea of this board isn't for people to "tell similar stories" to each other like you tried to create in this thread. You're obviously not looking for legal advice, so you are definitely in the wrong place. Toodles.
