Under age drinking citation & MVAWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MD Here is what happened: I have had my license for 1 week (16yrs old) - was caught drinking in school (not in a car)... A police officer gave me an "under age drinking citation".... Will that be forwarded to MVA & affect my license? I was told MD has a ZERO Tolerance law... Is that in affect if you are not driving at the time? Please help me understand. Thank you |

| Yep...kiss that license good bye for six months. It makes no difference if you were driving or not. |

| Betty, you don't see a slight problem with having been caught, not just drinking underage, but at school where you shouldn't be drinking period?

| You can leave out the "at school" part. She shouldn't have been drinking period. She knew it was illegal. She should have known it would result in the loss of her license if she hadn't been sleeping/drunk through driver's ed. She's lucky she's not over here in Virginia. |
