Where do you go?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California. My husband was picking up wood on the side of highway a couple weeks ago, he was in his truck, it has expired plates as of February, anyways they didn't give a ticket for anything except, unsafe parking on the freeway. But they impounded the truck, now we are wondering where do we go to get a release the vehicle from the tow yard? The CHP or police dept.? Do they have a hold on it if it was towed by them? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? |

| He will have to go to the agency that impounded it in order to obtain a release. However! He may not GET a release unless all the fees have been paid up and a valid registration (or temporary registration) is issued for the vehicle. - Carl
