Another Patent Law QuestionWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OH Person A invents a product that only fits car B and get's it patented. Person C invents the same product, but this product only fits car D. Is this patent infringement? Is person C able to acquire a patent for his product for car D? Keep in mind that both products function the same and go in the same place and the only difference is that person A's product fits car B and person C's product fits car D. |

| It would seem unlikely that the second invention from person C would be a novel and patentable idea based on the prior art of the invention from person A. If you had the invention from person A in your hand, could you forsee being able to modify it to fit other vehicles? Have fun with your homework. |
