How can another sue a company that knocks off garments?

California

I used to work for a company that knocks off garments. I know they knock off for I was directly involved. I know the brands they knock off. My only evidence though would either be pointing the actual garments being sold in stores or my word. How do I proceed?

Contact the companies they are ripping off. They are the ones who must start the ball rolling on this.
