What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

I have found a new use for a natural mineral that is currently mined for various uses in production processes.

Several have tried with limited succes to use this mineral for the "new use" but have not been successful. I have a method of application of using this mineral with success.

How would I apply for a "use-patent" for this mineral?

I know that I am being very vague. I will elaborate as much as possible if necessary.
