What is the name of your state? Arizona - is there a statute of limitations on when you can contest a will or request a copy of distribution of assets from the executor of the estate once the assets have been distributed?

3. A proceeding to contest an informally probated will and to secure appointment of the person with legal priority for appointment in the event the contest is successful may be commenced within the later of twelve months from the informal probate or two years from the decedent's death.

Read the whole statute; I don't know if you are talking about a formal or informal probate. It looks like two years is the outside limit.
