What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Property in TN, residing elsewhere

Both of my parents passed away earlier this year unexpectedly. I am the only heir. I don't want any part of the estate. Neither of them had a will. I haven't been contacted concerning the estate. Is there anything I need to do?
