| Buying a Home tied up in probate

Home was listed by POA and went under contract. All paperwork has been done and we are just waiting for the judge to sign off the final document. We are told that 90 days should pass before the final paper can be signed to allow creditors to come forth. The deceased's family has stated there will be no claims all prior work and bills were paid in cash. Is there anything that can be done to speed up the signing of this paper so we can close before the end of the year? We have changed the closing date twice now and they are wanting us to change it to January 15th now. If we don't close by the end of the year we will not qualify for homestead exemption. |
