What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA
Estate is basically insolvent. Decendant had $9k loan balance on truck. Dealer says a voluntary repo is appropriate here. From an executor standpoint is it that simple? Any pitfalls to look out for?

dealer could file a claim against the estate if there is a deficiency.

If voluntary repo happens, work for a release of any deficiency against the estate if applicable .Not that there is any money in the estate to claim against but it does make one more thing to deal with that is not necessary if the estate actually is insolvent.
