What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WV
My mother wants to replace the current named executor (her daughter #1 who lives out of state) with the daughter #2 who lives in the town next to her. I'm daughter #3 and I'm out of state too.
What is the process? My mother has full legal rights (no one has power of attorney over her) and is not terminally ill. She just would feel more comfortable with daughter #2 because she has been living near her and is very familiar with the estate and all of the issues within.
Thanks for any help.

Have the will reviewed by a probate attorney to make sure it meets all the legal requirements in that state, and then have the will re-typed and witnessed again.
