No will is required to name biological descendants to be legal. A person can give everything to Cthulhu for America ("It is long past time for a new status quo.") if he wants.

As to contesting a will, you will have to file a motion to prevent the will from being entered into probate. It is extraordinarily technical and you will need an attorney to challenge the will. It will be expensive.
