What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OK
In Wash DC, a judgement was won for an order of child support. The parent against whom the judgement was won never paid any support and moved from state to state in order to evade paying. It was just learned that the parent died a few months ago. The parent's last place of residence was OK.
The parent who won the judgement for child support died some years ago.
Is there any recourse for the child, whom has never known this parent to collect anything from the decedent's estate? Should the child conduct an asset search?
