    Cool executor

What is the name of your state? Alabama
My question is simple. Mother died, left a will, did not name executor, 5 adult children, simple sale of her house to an individual known to family, all in agreement, do we have to name an executor under al law?

Your question may be simple the answer may be complex. What names are on the title to the home? Is there an existing mortgage?

Depending on the answers to the 1st question the will may need to be probated and the court will appt, a representative to settle the estate.
