What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana. My Mother passed away a few years ago leaving 8 children and a 330 acre farm. We now want to physically split it up between us and build houses. My questions: Do I really need legal representation as the original attorney we used after her death, has also died? Can papers be filed at the local county courthouse? Can we survey & grid the property ourselves(through compromise) and fill in all the legal descriptions & file all the necessary papers? Thanks to any response beforehand. It is deeply appreciated.
