I live in Florida and my mom passed away. I want to become the personal representative of the estate. It is only me and my sister and all that was left was the house and a bank account. I wanted to know what do I need to do this and what steps to take.

thanks

Call the probate court and make an appointment with one of the clerks. They can walk you through the process. You will need an original of the death certificate and your birth certificate.
