What is the name of your state? IL

My older sister died several years ago and named me as her executor. During these past two years, I have had nothing but frustration dealing with her ex-husband concerning the finances in trust for her two living children. I just cannot stand him and no longer wish to continue as her executor. How do I go about transferring my executor status to a competent lawyer so that I can go back to taking care of my family and let my ex-brother-in-law fight it out with a professional?

Persons who control trusts are trustees, not executors. Executors are persons nominated in wills to probate the will. If there is not a provision for a successor trustee, see a Trust Attorney who can assist you.

Thanks, I guess I was taking on more that I was really being asked to do. :)
