What is the name of your state? AL

What happens when the only living child has been made Administrator of an estate, starts the legal process, runs the add , then finds out that there is a will, but not sure if the person named on the will wants to probate it?
A young woman claiming to be his half sister, (no DNA has been done) has a will that she claims gives her everything in the estate. She has made the statement that she doesn't know what to do or if she even wants to get it probated. My Son was named administrator of the estate by the probate court almost 2 weeks after his fathers death. our Attorney is out of town, and we were in the process of getting the estate into Civil Court due to the X-wife removing things that she was not entitled to have. we don't want to spend more money on gas, and time if my son will not have anything to do it for... Please help us!!!!!!!!!!!
