What is the name of your state? CA
My dad passsed away in Tx this fathers day. We haven't made any arraingments yet. I found out that he had re married in Tx, maybe divorced, has a minor child, and bought a home with new ex-wife. title shows them both as owners. i do not know if he had any savings, will, or anything else. My brother brought his truck back to california and wants to keep it as memories. I don't mind. What rights do we have to his estate if any. Should we get a lawyer...I do not know the other family and i do not think they know of us.....also he owed child support. do we have to pay for that if there is an estate involved?
