What is the name of your state? New York

Mom & Dad both passed over 10 yrs ago giving sister perpetual right
to live in family home in NY state
3 other siblings including myself still alive-4 total-with 1 other brother deceased.
Sister now is considering moving & for siblings to sell home

Late brother died intestate in RI almost a decade ago,
had 2 kids out of wedlock in early 1970s adopted by other families over 30 yrs ago-
have had no relationship or contact whatsoever for decades-afaik they never contacted him

Father & mother wrote up will filed in NY explicitly giving surviving grandchildren per stirpes inheritance succession rights bypassing children's spouses.

Does executor eventually need to locate these other 2 now adult kids to give share of future home sale, or not-my guess is based on NY law no.

Thanks for any / all comments

These children, who were adopted, are no longer related legally to your family. They do not inherit since they were no longer your brother's children.

Are you positive they were adopted? If so, don't worry about them inheriting.
