What is the name of your state? Texas
Do you have to pay an attorney to probate a will or can I do it myself. No one else is involved, no minor children.

You don't have to pay an attorney for anything. Of course, if you HIRE an attorney and don't pay he/she will sue you.

If the REAL question was "do I NEED an attorney to probate a will" the answer is no. Not even if the estate in question is worth Millions and there are 2,873 heirs.

Of course, if you screw it up it's your ass.
