our neighbor passed away in sept. of 2005. she left her house to my husband and i. the problem is her husband died in feb. of 1996. he had no will. we went to get the house refinaced and found out that when the house was probated her three adult children were left 1\3 percent interest of personal property. this was back in 1996 when her husband passed. since she left a will and did'nt want her children to recieve anything is this 1\3 percent still in effect? are they entitled to it?What is the name of your state?
