What is the name of your state? TX

My uncle lived in Texas when he passed away this summer. I am the Independent Executrix on his estate and reside in Montana. Is my travel to take care of his funeral and to probate his will considered reimbursible by his estate? And how is the statutory amount of executor fees computed, if I decide to pay any such fees? I realize the probate rules of Texas are the ones that apply here. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Are you able to conveniently take time off work to handle this, or would it be easier to hire a probate attorney to serve as executor? Are you named as a beneficiary in the will?
