What is the name of your state? Washington.
My wifes' sister, the out of state executrix, is finally getting to selling the estate home; she has a local attorney handling the paperwork (payed by the hour). The executrix is a crook and gambler. How do we protect the proceeds of the house sale? Can we ask the attorney to hold onto the money? This is the same bunch from my previous posts.

A: Yes and let's hope the lawyer is not a crook or a gambler. Why don't you ask the court to keep the money?
