My father died 8 months ago but I only recently found out.
I obtained a copy of the death certificate, it listed a name
and address as "trustee". I wrote a letter to this person over a
month ago asking if the estate had been taken care of and if
there was a will. It's been over a month and I haven't gotten a reply.
What should I do now? Is the trustee required by law to answer
my questions or can he just ignore me?

What is the name of your state? Arizona

You need to be talking to an Arizona trust attorney (or post your question to www.lawguru.com) to find out what your rights are as a trust beneficiary--some states allow beneficiaries to receive a copy of the trust, others do not. Have your attorney send this trustee a certified letter and I bet you he won't ignore it, IF you have the right to receive a copy of the trust.
