My step father passed away Nov 11 at the age of 88. He owned no physical property because he was homeless when my wife and I took him in. We set him up in his own apt and my wife and I paid for all property His bank account was used to pay for medical care and exhausted
His only assets are liquid he has a cd with beneficiaries and a IRA without Beneficiaries and a will. I need to know ihow to move forward and settle his affairs . Probate or not?? Looking for guidance with this process.

I also want to add that he has a will specifying percentages to his 4 children myself included if that comes into play here.

Please edit your post (either of them) to include your entire question - it was eaten above.

Look online to see if your county probate courthouse has information available on forms needed to file probate. This will be simple enough that you can probably do it yourself but if you have questions about the probate process please consult with a probate attorney.
