What is the name of your state? California. A friend of mine lost both his parents within a year of each other. He has a sister. He never received a full account of what happened to the estate. How does he go about researching this information? Any help or advice on what steps to take would be greatly appeciated. What is the name of your state?

THe probates should be public record, and can be accessed in the county's probate court (and sometimes online).

How young were you, and who raised you after the parents died? You don't think that estate funds were used to help provide for your and sister's care, housing, medical needs, food, education, activities, while in the care of the party that took care of you after your parents died?
