What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Ohio
My daughter has been given (in a trust) some money from her Great Grandmother in her will.
Just curious.....what does Waiver of Probate of Will mean? Does this mean we are giving up rights?

Thanks for any info.

Melissa

Meaning of form.

When a will is presented for probate in Ohio, the executor must notify all will beneficiaries and statutory heirs of the date of probate admission by certified mail, which costs about $ 5.00 each. The signed waiver by you will still save the estate some money. You are not waiving any rights by signing same. You still have 90 days from the filing of an affidavit of Giving Probate Notice to file a will contest, if you so choose.
