2nd charge of shoplifting-help!?!?

What is the name of your state? New York

At 16 years old I was caught shoplifting from Niketown in a New Jersey mall. I was handcuffed, not taken to a precinct (rather the mall security), not finger printed, nor taken a picture off. I got a complaint of 2c;20-11 in the mail. Never met with a judge or a prosecutor. Spoke with a probation officer who made me take an online shoplifting class. and paid some fees to Niketown. I never heard anything after that. Was I convicted?was it dismissed?was there even a charge? is there record of this if i was never fingerprinted? (this was in New Jersey almost 3 years ago.)

(this is New York) -->
I was stupid and made another mistake a week ago. I shoplifted from TJMAXX, $60 worth of merchandise and got caught this time i was arrested and finger printed and charged with 155.25- class A misdeaminor.. i have an arraingment date in 2 weeks. will my past record show up or is it like a first offence? if my record will show up- what kind of sentance should i expect? i'm an honors, pre-law student, with a job, community ties, and hopefully a huge future ahead of me. what can i do for it to get completely erased/dismissed/expunged.

For being an "Honors, pre-law" student, you're not very bright...

This wasn't a mistake... It was pure and simple DELIBERATE CRIMINAL ACTIVITY. Why are you even studying law? You won't be admitted to the Bar with your record...
